In this article, I discuss a 5K walk fundraiser with the purpose of raising money for victims of sexual abuse. The event was held on May 1, and successfully brought together community members to contribute to a meaningful cause. Participants walked around the Atlanta area where they concluded at the Georgia State Capitol. The funds raised are said to provide essential resources and support services for survivors of sexual abuse. My experience writing this article taught me how to gather information beforehand and to contact and interview those in charge of an event taking place.
